Your Business Is Only as Healthy as You: How I Built Strength Physically, Mentally & Spiritually
Your business is only as healthy as you are—literally and unapologetically. I mean the whole you: physical stamina, mental clarity, and spiritual alignment, because when your personal life is a mess your professional life will feel it in every decision and in every dip of consistency. I break this down into three pillars—physical, mental, spiritual—and share what each one looks like for me: gym routines and meal prep that changed my self-image, honest trauma work and the decision to stop gossiping, and a spiritual practice of prayer and journaling that keeps my motives aligned. I walk you through real examples (I lost 40+ pounds; I owned a moment of oversharing) and the habits I use to stay accountable, so this isn’t theory—it's lived. The work is daily, not dramatic: rate yourself, pick one pillar below a 7, and commit to improving it this week. And before you go, ask yourself the question that changed everything for me: “Are you the type of person you actually like?”

Speaker A:I'm breaking it down into three pillars.
Speaker A:Your physical, mental and spiritual health.
Speaker A:And showing you exactly what mine looks like.
Speaker A:Then I'm sharing something I'm actively working through right now in real time.
Speaker A:And at the end, I'm asking you the question that changed everything for me.
Speaker A:Are you the type of person you actually like?
Speaker A:Don't click off because this is important.
Speaker A:Let me be direct.
Speaker A:If you're not balanced physically, mentally and spiritually, it will show in how you make decisions, the stability of your business and your consistency.
Speaker A:Your personal life and professional life are not separate.
Speaker A:They're one system.
Speaker A:So when people say don't mix personal and business, they're wrong.
Speaker A:You can't separate them.
Speaker A:Your emotional state determines your business decisions.
Speaker A:Your physical health determines your energy and focus.
Speaker A:Your spiritual alignment determines whether you're actually building something or just performing.
Speaker A:The healthier you are as a person, the stronger your business will be.
Speaker A:So let's really get into it.
Speaker A:Physical health.
Speaker A:So let me talk about the physical side.
Speaker A:And this is me personally.
Speaker A:I go to the gym three to four times a week.
Speaker A:I cook my meals.
Speaker A:I don't eat out very often.
Speaker A:And that wasn't in vanity, it was out of survival.
Speaker A:So losing 40 plus pounds wasn't just about how I looked.
Speaker A:It was about liking how I looked.
Speaker A:And when you like the way you look, when you feel strong in your body, something inside you shifts.
Speaker A:Self image, Determines how you show up.
Speaker A:If you don't like the way you look, that affects your confidence.
Speaker A:And confidence is everything.
Speaker A:When I was out of shape, I'd look in the mirror and I'd think, I don't fit my clothes.
Speaker A:I'm not happy about the way I look.
Speaker A:And that eats you up all day.
Speaker A:You walk into a meeting thinking about your body instead of the business.
Speaker A:But once I committed to the gym, I felt a mental shift that happened almost automatically.
Speaker A:I wasn't thinking about my body anymore.
Speaker A:I was thinking about the work.
Speaker A:I was confident.
Speaker A:So physical health isn't just about vanity.
Speaker A:It's about showing up as your best self.
Speaker A:Not just looking like it, but feeling it.
Speaker A:So let's go into mental health.
Speaker A:This is where I'm doing the deepest work right now.
Speaker A:And I want to be honest about something.
Speaker A:I want to be honest about what it really looks like.
Speaker A:I have traumas.
Speaker A:I'm still working through them.
Speaker A:And one of the biggest things I'm actively dealing with is gossip.
Speaker A:If you have to talk bad about somebody, you're probably not doing the best in your own mental health.
Speaker A:Gossip is so normalized that we don't even see it as a problem.
Speaker A:We just call it conversation.
Speaker A:But really, we're processing our own insecurities by focusing on someone else's life.
Speaker A:I recently had a situation where I shared information that wasn't mine to share.
Speaker A:There was no real purpose behind it.
Speaker A:I was literally just talking to talk.
Speaker A:And I had to stop and ask myself, is this worth it?
Speaker A:And the answer was no.
Speaker A:So I took accountability, owned it.
Speaker A:And now I'm actively working on breaking that habit, not gossiping about anybody, whether I like them or not.
Speaker A:Because every time I talk about somebody else's life or I'm taking away energy from building my own business and my own life, and I can't afford to do that anymore.
Speaker A:It's just not who I want to be.
Speaker A:And then there's the spiritual side.
Speaker A:For me, that's faith.
Speaker A:I'm Christian.
Speaker A:I pray every day, and I talk to God like he's a friend.
Speaker A:Not formal, not distant.
Speaker A:Just real conversation.
Speaker A:Real honest conversation.
Speaker A:I also journal at least once or twice a week.
Speaker A:Sometimes at home, sometimes at work.
Speaker A:It's just me reflecting on things I don't want to say out loud.
Speaker A:Yet.
Speaker A:Spiritual health means asking yourself, does your life make you happy?
Speaker A:Are you the type of person you actually like?
Speaker A:Because you can't build all the businesses, make all the money, hit all the goals if you're still not aligned and if you're not the actual person that you like.
Speaker A:What did you actually build if you aren't the type of person you like?
Speaker A:What if you're not aligned with it?
Speaker A:So my spiritual practices, prayer, journaling, clearing my space, those are things about alignment.
Speaker A:Making sure who I am on the inside matches who I'm showing up as on the outside.
Speaker A:So self image.
Speaker A:So here's the ultimate question that changed everything for me.
Speaker A:Are you the type of person you actually like?
Speaker A:Because if you're not, you're just performing, you're acting, you're not being real.
Speaker A:And people could feel that.
Speaker A:So if you don't see yourself as the successful, healthy, aligned person you're trying to build, you're going to perform instead of be that person.
Speaker A:So the work isn't just external, it's internal.
Speaker A:Look in the mirror not just at your body, not just at your features, but at yourself, and ask, do I like who I am?
Speaker A:Do I like how I treat people?
Speaker A:Am I living aligned with my values?
Speaker A:And if the answer is no, that's not a business problem, that's a you problem.
Speaker A:And the good news is, because the only person you can change is yourself, these are things that you can work on.
Speaker A:People don't follow perfect people follow real.
Speaker A:And real starts with you liking the person that you've become.
Speaker A:Rate yourself honestly, 1 through 10, physically, mentally, spiritually, if any are below a 7.
Speaker A:That's where you start.
Speaker A:Not on your business, on you.
Speaker A:Pick one and commit.
Speaker A:This week, drop it in the comments down below so we could talk about it.
Speaker A:And listen, building all three pillars takes consistency.
Speaker A:It's a daily practice, not a one time thing.
Speaker A:So if you want help to track your progress across physical, mental and spiritual health.
Speaker A:I made a 90 day tracker in the description down below.
Speaker A:It's a tool I use to keep myself accountable.
Speaker A:And like I said, the link is down below.
Speaker A:Download the PDF and let's build the whole version of you.
Speaker A:That's it for this one, you guys.
Speaker A:If it hits home, like comment, share, subscribe because the next episode we're talking about unlearning bad habits.
Speaker A:As always, you guys have a wonderful day.
Speaker A:Thank you for being here.
Speaker A:Bye.
